Layouts

Prototype in publishing my own works. I LOVED this class! At the time I was working at National Bus Trader, my first opportunity for prepress, reception, assembly, advertisement, and binding. This class became such a breeze when I was able to choose what kind of project to do. This was a moment to cease working with a magazine layout. I took all the written assignments and turned them into articles so by the time of the assemble much of the work was done, because I had the pictures and content ready. The pdf is a file of the full assembly. I really enjoyed the project. Also, understanding the cover is a big risk when it came to deciding the quality. For nearly any project it wouldn’t be useful, however, this case seemed to work for me, because it added more texture with the pixelation, which was appreciated. Sometimes it’s okay to break rules and go with the imperfections.

It was a risk I was willing to take and so I did. I cleaned up the digital debri against the white background. I eventually printed a hardcopy, which printed just fine for me. It wasn’t distasteful. I also created a digital version of this project, so at the time of the final project submission, people had a lovely thing to read first thing with their coffee before their day started. It was a very successful experience that everyone seemed to have loved. Unfortunately too much time has passed, as did Flash, so the digital version would not be salvagable.
