Day 2
Walk n’ Talk | The Oregon Rail Trail to Woosung – Start
Acknowledging the body in what it’s asking like rest is crucial as it adapts to the pressures for long adventures as walking sixteen miles in a single day. It’s a hefty challenge when the body hasn’t had a chance to adapt to it. By listening to the body, a week long rest was needed to take on this activity to the end.
Recap from the last walk.

Walk n’ Talk | The Oregon Rail Trail to Woosung
Full hour identifying herbs and edible plants
Recap on the last walk. After doing more homework on the trail realized there was only a mile or two left from what I did. This time determination is set high with the right equipment to be hands free and resources with water, snack, and music that made the walk successful. Everything charged today!
Riding bikes in school on the trail was always a fun part of physical education (P.E).
Distinguishing facts regarding the trail as Oregon Rail Trail and not THE Oregon Trail as in Independence, Missouri going out west. The pathways of the Oregon Rail Trail where it would be is covered by farmland or is on private property. However, there’s a trail that does go to Dixon covers eleven miles.
Identify mulberries and yellow wood sorrel, which resembles cloves, also known as lemon cloves or sour grass. Perfect for salads. Identify real elderberries.
Appreciate treasures around your area. Share it. There’s treasures we take for granted.
Recognizing evil as much as godliness requires balanced awareness without losing focus on Adonai. Keeping our eye upon him allows us to be like Christ.
Real quiet nature walking this time.

Walk n’ Talk | The Oregon Rail Trail – Sterling Rd
Glory be to God. Release with burps from eating mulberries and elderberries may just be a spiritual expression, while the body digests brings awareness to physical and spiritual. Learn to sharpen both senses with discipline.
Prayer in the name of Jesus changes the atmosphere. It is like catching a feather mid-flight. Alignment is agreement to declare where you will be and know. The living God declares beyond empathy where we get out of the way for when he’s ready to judge to injustice and ungodliness. There’s more stories in the Bible that are very complimentary to folklore stories like the Odyssey, which is the time of Samuel and King Saul. It’s like acknowledging all the marvel characters but leaving out Spiderman. Could you go without, without ever knowing Spiderman? Probablly. Surely, the Marvel enthusiast would be most grateful to know Spiderman as apart of the Marvel adventures. Likewise, a folklore enthusiast should be most grateful to know the Bible’s view to the stories most of the world applauds.

Walk n’ Talk | The Oregon Rail Trail – Sunshine 🌞
Stop to take a short break in the shade. Got a nice drink out of the water jug. Very refreshing. Endured more sun on this trek before returning to shade. More traffic today from ATVs, runners, bikers, hikers (me). Surely it isn’t uncommon for people to visit friends or family between towns this way.
Reflecting on childhood classmates names.

Walk n’ Talk | The Oregon Rail Trail – Last Mile to Woosung
Final Trek to Woosung. Explore the terrain we have not seen yet. Thankful for more shade near the end. That sun was hot. Nice to get into shade after being in that hot sun for nearly a mile. It got really green and super fragrant.
Over the weekend went to see the remake of the Odessey. I liked Matt Damon’s take. The rest of the cast wasn’t good at all. It was at the level of watching the high school play. Rather picking people to do the part finding the right matchup would and should be a tighter fit. It seems talent is scarce while perversion rises.
Time for a much needed break sit, relax, eat, and water. The banana was great for the potassium and energy. Keeping the electrolytes in control is important.
Running time: 27 minutes 37 seconds
Walk n’ Talk | The Oregon Rail Trail – Return From Woosung
Working the walk back. I make sure to get a close up with Joe. No water or snack would have been miserable. Recharged everything for about 5-10 minutes. Sixteen miles was the longest hike ever. Glad to accomplish it. When the car is parked so I must get to it now.
Lowell Park Trail is four miles longer than Joe Stengel Trail (Oregon Rail Trail). Lowell Park Trail picks up on the otherside of Woosung. There’s tree lines that portray where both trails would meet but isn’t walkable due to private property and farmland, and then a private residential.
Running time: 10 minutes 51 seconds
